LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) run examinations in many strands of theatre arts and are an Ofqual recognised qualification.

The LAMDA course is designed to offer young people structured actor training. Children will learn specific techniques to improve performance skills, spoken word and confident communication. These techniques are then further explored, developed and displayed in a group performance of a published text or script to a LAMDA examiner, located at the LAMDA School in London.

This is ideal if your child is serious about drama and wants to take it a step further. We do not recommend leaving a class they are already enjoying at Bare Bones to do LAMDA. Our other classes are focused on ensemble work which is fun and devised work which all children love. Instead, they have the option to take LAMDA as an addition.
